Aden Tribune – A day has come to an end after bloody events in the city of Aden, southern Yemen, when clashes erupted between security forces guarding the entrances of a public yard used by unity supporters and southern secessionists want to storm the square to set up a demonstration in the same yard Thursday.
The toll has reached to 9 dead and tens of injured as a result of the clashes that have taken place in Khormaksar and Crater districts of Aden.
Reports coming from Mansoura district indicate that protesters have blocked the main road of the city, hindering the traffic from and to the city in protest for the crack down of the protesters in Khormaksar and Crater.
The Yemeni President, Abdu Rabo Mansour Hadi, during his participation in the 21st conference of the leaders of the Ministry of Interior, pointed out to the calls by some Southern Movement factions to start “armed struggle” against what they call “the northern occupation in the south,” saying that they should stick to the peacefulness since the violence will at the end lead their “fair issue” astray.
“We say to those who have not apprehended the new reality and those who call for the armed struggle, through incitement by the country that supports them by money, media and arms that their fair issue will go astray.” The Yemeni President said referring to the Southern Movement and its alleged relationship with Iran.
